The Australia Japan Society of Victoria (AJSV) Mentoring Program facilitates mentoring connections between JET returnees, NCP, Hamer and MEXT recipients, university graduates, students nearing the end of their degrees and those developing their career with professionals working in a range of sectors.
The program aims to enable both mentors and mentees to develop their professional networks, leadership skills and gain professional insight and engagement into Japan related sectors, including but not limited to finance, international relations, design, law and trade.
Building on the success of the 2019 AJSV Mentoring Program, in 2020, The AJSV are pleased to launch the inaugural AJSV Online Mentoring Program. In a time of remote working, COVID19 and increased online engagement, the program will link young professionals, alumni of various educational exchange programs to mentors (across a range of sectors) in a flexible online program from July to October 2020.
The Program will involve an initial cohort meeting to launch the program in which all introductions will occur and processes and details will be advised. The partnerships are structured around three or more online meetings/ catch-ups with further engagements to be determined by each partnership.
Please note there will not be an expectation that mentors will provide career opportunities, although the mentoring relationship may continue past this formal program organically.
This is a volunteer-based program, and mentors and mentees are not paid. Please note this program is available to those in Victoria and Japan.
