AJSV Programs – Impact of COVID 19
The COVID 19 situation is unprecedented, and impacting the lives of many AJSV members and program volunteers.
The AJSV would like to assure you that in our various programs and events, the safety and well-being of all participants is paramount. To this end, and in light of recent government notices and guidelines, please note that all AJSV programs and events involving gatherings of members and guests, or travel for student exchanges between Australia and Japan, have been suspended as a precautionary measure.
Information on application processes for future scholarships and student exchange programs will remain available during this time, but the actual scheduling of scholarships and related travel will be suspended.
Some events and forums, such as the Women in Leadership session on April 2, have been reformatted as online ‘livestream’ events.
The next AJSV Konshinkai (networking event) scheduled for April 2020 has been cancelled. The February event was a huge success, and we will advise you of the next event as soon as the situation is resolved.
Planning for other AJSV events scheduled for late 2020 is currently proceeding in good faith with our event partners, and we will confirm advice on dates in due course.
In the meantime, we will review the position as Australian and Japan Government policy related to COVID 19 evolves, and aim to ‘return to normal’ once the COVID 19 situation is officially resolved. If you have any other questions - we are here to help.
